By using the trickling filter and activated sludge process, the secondary treatment throws around 85% of the organic and inorganic waste material from the water. After the completion of the primary stage of Sewage Treatment Plant in Haryana and when effluent leaves sedimentation tank, trickling filter comes into play. The trickling filter is around 6 feet deep bed of stones via which sewage flows. Partially the treated sewage transmit to another sedimentation tank after trickling filter for removing bacteria. This process is very fast and easy result giving compared to the tricking filter. Like a trickling filter, partially treated sewage sent to another sedimentation tank for further procedure.
